Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe is an American country music artist and singer. Following the release of two singles and an album titled Satisfied in 2007 she formed a band named Pistol Annies with Angaleena Presley as well as Miranda Lambert and released her 2nd album called Like a Rose in 2013. Ashley Monroe works as the Village Manager Assistant in Riverside Illinois. With over 15 years of working experience, she's worked in various positions within the public sector, including five years spent in the Iowa City deputy City Manager post. As Assistant Village Manager she is currently responsible for managing the Community Development and Building Department as well as completing various tasks. In Riverside Ashley supports everyday operations of village services and implementing the strategic vision of elected officials as well as the residents. Ashley's responsibilities include planning for municipal services, budgeting, management of staff and collective bargaining. Ashley also focuses on the climate issues. Ashley's participation in the national organization, as well as her involvement with diverse communities and demographics has allowed her to gain insights into the various differences and similarities in the way various public agencies run. Ashley's teaching focuses on the current approach to management and leadership in public institutions from a seasoned professional. Alongside providing a context for current and future professionals Ashley stresses the necessity to adapting the current decisions based on ethics and strategic thinking for addressing issues and capitalize on opportunities.
